AISHA is named after Aisha Al-Taweel, the great-grandmother of the organizations founders and a true pillar of Palestinian resilience. Born in Yibna and Baitsheet near Ramla, Palestine, she was a Nakba survivor who dedicated her life to maternal health as a skilled midwife.
Living across the street from Naser Medical Complex, Aisha was frequently called to the maternal ward for her expertise in traditional medicine, helping countless women through childbirth and health challenges. Her unwavering commitment to the well-being of her community inspires every aspect of our work today.
By carrying her name, AISHA honors her legacy of compassionate service and strives to continue her vital mission of supporting community health and families in times of crisis.
